The Ministry of Education and Sports has released scores for nearly 750,000 pupils, marking a significant milestone in their educational journey.

In 2023, a substantial 749,371 candidates took the PLE, comprising 357,797 males and 391,574 females, including 2,436 Special Needs candidates.

Whether you’re nervously checking your own results or celebrating with family and friends, this day holds special meaning. Are you ready to see your results? We’ve written a simple step-by-step guide on how to check the 2023 PLE results here.

How to Check Your PLE 2023 Results

There are two options for checking your results. The first option is to send an SMS to the shortcode 6600, which has a cost associated with it. The second option is to check your results through the UNEB online portal.

To check for your kid’s results via SMS

  • Step 1: Open your message pad on your phone and type PLE <space> INDEX NUMBER of your kid and send to 6600.
  • Step 2: The cost for each SMS is 500 UGX, and the service is available on both the MTN and Airtel networks.

To check for your kid’s results via the UNEB’s e-registration online platform,

  • Step 1: Visit the UNEB eReg Portal, and select Results   https://ereg.uneb.ac.ug/results.
  • Step 2: You will be redirected to a page that has a UNEB Results header. From here, enter your Index Number and tap Search.

It is important to keep in mind that the online portal may not be dependable, so we recommend checking the results via SMS as an alternative. For pupils who may have lost or forgotten their index number, we recommend contacting your school for assistance.

With this in mind, we hope that our guide will make the process of checking the PLE results as smooth and stress-free as possible, and congratulations to all the 2023 PLE candidates on their achievements.
