The Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) has announced a cash reward of (10 million) shillings for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of a University lecturer, Dr Lawrence Eron, who is wanted on allegations of aggravated defilement of a 16-year-old visually impaired girl.

Dr. Lawrence Eron is a Dean of the Faculty of Special Needs and Rehabilitation at Kyambogo University.

Dr Eron, a 56-year-old senior lecturer, is accused of aggravated defilement of a 16-year-old visually impaired girl.

Following his arrest and release from custody last year, Dr. Eron has since gone missing.

Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga says “We believe that he is still in the country.”

Therefore, he appealed to anyone with information leading to the arrest of Dr Eron to give it to the CID in confidence.

Enanga also warned friends and relatives who may be hiding Dr Eron, saying that it is criminal to do so.

According to Enanga, there are also other processes in place to ensure that Dr Eron is arrested from wherever he may be outside of the country.
