Residents of Migyera town Council in Nakasongola district woke up in shock on Friday morning on learning that two lovers had been hacked to death on Thursday night.

The deceased have been identified as Hadijjah Nangobi aged 44 years and another one named Vincent all living together at Posta zone in Migyera town.

According to Sam Twineamazima the Savannah Region Police Spokesperson the two were allegedly attacked at night around 9:20 pm by Tarsis Oweyesiga who hacked them to death.

Twineamazima explains that Oweyesiga a resident of Nalukonge zone in Migyera town had a love affair with Nangobi but it ended in January this year before she eloped to Vincent.

However this didn’t go well with Oweyesiga and on Thursday night, armed with a panga he attacked the two as they prepared before to rest. He allegedly hacked them to death as witnessed by Nangobi’s 12-year-old daughter.
