MPIGI: ONC Coordinator Khalifa Lwanga engages NRM leaders, security in party register update exercise

The Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Coordinator for Mpigi District, Mr. Khalifa Lwanga Sulaiman, Wednesday spearheaded a series of crucial engagements with various NRM leaders and security personnel in the area, setting the stage for the ongoing NRM Register Update exercise.

The esteemed gathering included the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Mpigi, the District Police Commander, the District Internal Officer, and LC3 chairpersons from diverse sub-counties.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, the RDC emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts not only for the ongoing register update but also for future party events.

He lauded Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, the Manager of ONC, for her pivotal role in directly involving her office in mobilizing all Ugandans to rally behind Presideng Yoweri Kaguta Museveni ahead of the upcoming 2026 Elections.

In particular, the RDC commended Namyalo for providing Mpigi with a strong and attentive representative and pledged to relay issues affecting the youth, known as “Bazzukulu Ba Museveni,” to Hajjat Namyalo for effective resolution and empowerment initiatives to combat poverty in the region.

During the engagements, Mr. Khalifa Lwanga Sulaiman reiterated the significance of maintaining accurate and up-to-date NRM registers, stressing the principles of inclusivity and transparency throughout the update process.

He also promised to escalate issues impacting the people of Mpigi, especially the youth, to the Special Presidential Advisor for appropriate action.

The participation of security personnel further affirmed the commitment to ensuring peace and order during these critical activities.

These proactive measures underscore a joint effort by NRM leadership and local authorities to fortify the integrity of the party’s membership database in Mpigi.
