Edmore Zvekare, a polygamous man residing in Madanhire village under Chief Jiri, is presently receiving medical treatment for severe burns caused by his wife, Vaidah Mavuna.

This shocking incident resulted from a conflict that arose when Edmore suspected his nephew of having a romantic relationship with his eldest wife, Vaidah. Despite the gravity of his injuries, Edmore has chosen not to pursue legal action against his wife for her actions.

Insiders have suggested that Edmore has a history of domestic abuse, which may explain his reluctance to involve the authorities. The source revealed that Edmore often physically assaults his wives but has no desire to reform his behaviour.

During the confrontation with his nephew, Vaidah intervened to protect herself from the escalating conflict.

However, during the altercation, Zvekare shifted his focus from his nephew to attacking his wife. Vaidah overpowered and feeling threatened, resorted to using boiling water in a desperate act of self-defence, consequently causing several injuries to her husband.
