A 35-year-old loader has been remanded to Luzira prison for allegedly stealing a carton of forks.

Yusuf Byaruhanga was arraigned before Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayizzi, who read to him a theft offence that he denied.

The trial Magistrate sent him on remand until January 9th, 2024, when he will reappear for the commencement of the case.

The prosecution, led by Allan Mucunguzi, states that on August 26th, 2023, at William Street, Byaruhanga stole one carton of forks valued at 100,000 shillings, the property of Geoffrey Ssendagire.
