Uganda Police, in collaboration with sister security agencies, launched an intelligence-led operation earlier today and the target was the residence of Twinomijuni Anthony, also known as Bobi Young, situated in Mutungo Zone II, Nakawa Division, Kampala.

The operation resulted in the arrest of the suspect and the seizure of various items resembling military equipment.

Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, confirmed the incident, stating, “Upon searching the premises, we recovered ranks resembling those of a UPDF 4 Star General, a walkie-talkie, berets resembling those of military police, and two pairs of desert military shoes.”

Authorities have pressed charges against Twinomijuni Anthony for illegal possession of government property and inciting violence.

Onyango further affirmed that the suspect has been transferred to the Joint Anti-Terrorism Taskforce (JATT) for further investigation and processing.

Onyango emphasized, “The operation is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of our nation.”
