President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni addressed rallies in Lwengo and Kyotera districts as part of his nationwide mobilisation campaign, urging residents to support National Resistance Movement (NRM) flagbearers in the 2026 general elections.
He reiterated the NRM’s role in restoring peace, stability, and national unity, noting that strong institutions have enabled Uganda to enjoy sustained peace across the country.
The President highlighted development gains in infrastructure, electricity expansion, and improved service delivery in health and education.
He emphasized wealth creation through commercial agriculture, skills development, and government programmes aimed at integrating households into the money economy.
President Museveni also underscored job creation through agriculture, industrialisation, services, and ICT, and called on residents of Lwengo and Kyotera to remain united and actively participate in government initiatives to improve livelihoods and support continued national development.
