Kyejonjo — As the 2026 parliamentary nominations get underway, Kampala City Deputy Lord Mayor Doreen Nyajura has joined a host of politicians in seeking blessings from Owobusobozi Bisaka, the spiritual leader of the Faith of Unity.

Nyajura, a known opposition figure under the People’s Fort for Freedom (PFF), travelled to Rugombe Intambiro in Kyejonjo District over the weekend, where Owobusobozi held a three-day spiritual gathering attended by hundreds of followers and political hopefuls.

The event, characterized by prayers for healing and messages of harmony, drew over 200 new converts to the Faith of Unity.

Owobusobozi, who presided over the ceremony, preached about the importance of unity among leaders and citizens, urging politicians to place the interests of the people above partisan divides.

He also emphasized the self-reliant nature of the Faith, distancing it from foreign religious influences, and reminded followers to adhere to the Faith’s unique calendar — which designates the 2nd, 12th, and 22nd days of every month as rest and healing days.

Several prominent figures in attendance, including David Muhumuza (Mwenge North MP) and Paul Asaba Nsabimana (Kyaka North MP), joined Nyajura in expressing appreciation for Owobusobozi’s continued role in promoting unity and discipline among leaders. They also sought his blessings ahead of the forthcoming elections.

Owobusobozi is expected to continue his outreach next month, with a scheduled visit to Nsambya Intambiro in Kampala Bukwenda from November 14–16, where he will preach unity and mobilize support for national development initiatives under President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the NRM party.

The gathering in Kyejonjo comes at a time when politicians across the country are seeking to solidify their support bases and spiritual backing ahead of the heated campaign season.
