Kampala, Uganda: In a major reorganization move, the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) is set to begin relocating some of its key departments from the Nakawa Headquarters to RR Pearl Tower, a newly constructed premium commercial complex owned by the Ruparelia Group.
The shift, URA says, is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and improving taxpayer convenience.
According to a public notice issued by the tax body, the relocation will be carried out in phases beginning Monday, October 13, 2025, with full operations expected to be in place by October 20, 2025.
The Large Taxpayers Office (LTO), together with the Public Sector and Medium Taxpayer Division (PSO & MTO), will be the first units to move into the new premises. They are set to occupy the 11th to 14th floors of the RR Pearl Tower, marking the initial phase of the relocation plan.
In the second phase, the Risk and Strategy Department and the Petroleum Division will relocate between October 17 and 19, and will begin full operations from the new premises on October 20, 2025.
“To serve you better, we are coming closer to you. We look forward to supporting you,” URA Management noted, emphasizing that the move demonstrates the Authority’s continued effort to streamline taxpayer engagement and improve service delivery.
