Kampala, Uganda: Uganda’s celebrated stand-up comedian Patrick “Salvado” Idringi has dedicated the 7th edition of his flagship Africa Laughs comedy show to his late friends Rajiv Ruparelia and Cedric Babu, acknowledging their immense contribution to his personal and professional journey.
The highly anticipated rib-cracking event, slated for October 25, 2025, at Kingdom Kampala’s I&M Bank Atrium, promises an evening of unmatched comedy, music, and entertainment that will bring together top comedians from across Africa.
“This year’s edition is very personal to me. I’m dedicating it to my fallen brothers Rajiv and Cedric, who believed in me when it mattered most. Their support shaped my career and life,” a visibly emotional Salvado told journalists during the show’s media briefing last month.

Dubbed ‘Africa Laughs 7, the festival will feature some of the continent’s finest comedy acts, including Basketmouth (Nigeria), Eric Omondi (Kenya), Mpho Popps (South Africa), Celeste Ntuli (South Africa), and Akau Jambo (South Sudan).
