SPA Namyalo Commends Navio’s Contribution to Uganda’s Music Industry, Lauds Museveni’s Support for Creative Youth

The Office of the National Chairman – NRM (ONC) Manager and Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs (SPA) Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, on Saturday night joined hundreds of music lovers and dignitaries at the Kampala Serena Hotel to celebrate one of Uganda’s most accomplished hip-hop artists, Daniel Kigozi alias Navio, during his first-ever Music Orchestra Concert.

The event, which blended classical orchestra sounds with Ugandan hip-hop, marked a significant milestone in Navio’s two-decade journey as one of East Africa’s most respected rappers.

The concert attracted a cross-section of Kampala’s elite, music industry stakeholders, and ardent fans, all eager to witness a first-of-its-kind performance that redefined live Ugandan rap.

SPA Namyalo, known affectionately as Chief Muzzukulu, brought her trademark energy and elegance to the occasion as her arrival was met with cheers from the audience, many of whom commended her for her consistent support of young talent and creatives across the country.

At the height of the evening, Hajjat Namyalo was invited to lead the crowd in singing Happy Birthday to one of the guests and her unexpectedly melodious voice drew applause and admiration from the audience, adding a joyful touch to an already vibrant night.

The Orchestra Hip-Hop Experience featured captivating performances from Benon Mugumbya, Michael Viboyo, The Mith, Big Trill, Babaluku, Eddy Kenzo, Cindy Sanyu, and Levixone, among others.

Backed by a live orchestra, Navio’s timeless hits such as Ngalo, Njogereza, and Nawuliranga filled the Serena auditorium with energy and nostalgia.

Speaking to some attendees, several noted that SPA Namyalo’s presence reaffirmed the government’s growing recognition of Uganda’s creative industry as a major driver of youth empowerment.

Through her work at the ONC, she has consistently promoted initiatives that encourage the Bazzukulu to use their talents for self-sustainability and national development.

Navio commends SPA Namyalo for her continued support and empowerment of artists in Uganda’s music industry.

The night ended with a message of unity, culture, and national pride, values that both Navio’s artistry and SPA Namyalo’s leadership continue to champion under the vision of H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to uplift Uganda’s youth through creativity and innovation.
