OP-ED: Choosing Progress Over Promises; Why Kemirembe Ronah Ruranga Is the Right Choice For Kazo District

By Kanyesigye Alfred – Voter, Kazo District

In every generation, there comes a moment when communities must pause, reflect, and deliberately choose the path that will define their destiny. For us in Uganda, and particularly here in Kazo District, that moment is now. The direction we take as a people will depend on the kind of leadership we choose to embrace.

When I look at the options before us, one name stands out clearly: Kemirembe Ronah Ruranga. She embodies the very essence of focused leadership that our community so urgently needs. In her, we see not only a leader but also a servant of the people, someone whose life and character testify to integrity, humility, and results.

FYI, good leadership is not about chasing titles or positions. It is about service, discipline, and the courage to do what is right even when it is not easy. Kemirembe has consistently shown that she is not perplexed by noise, fear, or personal gain. Instead, she is guided by a clear vision and the determination to follow it through for the benefit of all.

What makes her leadership different is her listening ear. She takes time to understand the concerns of ordinary citizens before making decisions. She does not impose; she consults. She does not divide; she unites.

She believes that leadership must be anchored in integrity, boldness, and accountability principles that are increasingly rare in our politics today.

I have seen in Kemirembe a leader who acts boldly when boldness is required and humbly when humility is needed. She knows that promises must be turned into action and that action must lead to progress. With her at the forefront, we can be confident that our community will not be left behind.

When leadership is focused, a community invests in its people. With Kemirembe’s vision, we will see investments in education, health, agriculture, and infrastructure. We will move with unity instead of division. We will solve problems instead of shifting blame. Even when the road is rough, she will keep us steady, because she knows where she is leading us.

Our future will not be shaped by luck or chance but it will be shaped by the kind of leaders we rally behind. That is why I believe it is time for Kazo district to rally behind Kemirembe Ronah Ruranga, who is not just another politician but a people-centered leader who puts the interests of her community first.

Since Kazo is blessed with hardworking farmers, energetic youth, and resourceful families, what we need is leadership that can unlock that potential, and Kemirembe is that leader. She has the courage to act, the heart to serve, and the vision to guide.

My call to fellow residents is simple: let us not be distracted by empty promises or divided by petty politics. Let us choose to unite behind Kemirembe Ronah Ruranga, a leader who builds instead of destroying, who serves instead of being served, and who gives every Kazo resident a chance to thrive.

The destiny of our community will be written by the choices we make today. If we embrace leaders like Kemirembe, anchored in service, discipline, and results our children will not only inherit our dreams of a better Uganda, they will live in it.

With Kemirembe Ronah Ruranga’s good and focused leadership, we shall not just dream of a brighter tomorrow, we shall build it, together.
