Dr. Sudhir Unveils 19-storey RR Pearl Tower One, Kampala’s New Landmark in Commercial Real Estate

Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, Uganda’s leading businessman and property developer, has officially opened RR Pearl Tower One, a 19-storey Grade-A office complex that is redefining Kampala’s skyline.

Developed under his company Meera Investments Ltd, the tower marks the first phase of the ambitious Pearl Business Park along Yusuf Lule Road, a project envisioned to become a “city within a city,” complete with premium offices, a luxury hotel, retail spaces, and a world-class hospital.

RR Pearl Tower One, part of the Landmark Pearl Business Park owned by Uganda’s richest man, Sudhir Ruparelia, is now complete.

Spanning 24,000 square meters of lettable space, Pearl Tower One features modern amenities such as dual-fiber high-speed internet, automated fire and safety systems, 24/7 security with more than 170 CCTV cameras, and three basement parking levels for over 360 vehicles. It also incorporates energy-efficient lighting and ventilation systems to promote sustainability.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Ruparelia emphasized that the tower was designed to attract foreign investment, create jobs, and strengthen Kampala’s position as a regional business hub. “We aim to create a business ecosystem that stimulates growth and urban transformation,” he said.

Future phases of the Pearl Business Park will include a five-star luxury hotel, vibrant retail precinct, recreational facilities, and a top-tier hospital to reduce medical tourism abroad.

Covering 18 acres of prime land formerly occupied by the army’s Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence, the development is expected to inject significant vitality into Uganda’s economy.

Economists project that projects like the Pearl Business Park will complement the country’s GDP growth forecast of over 6% in 2025, while stakeholders urge government to ensure inclusive access for local enterprises.

With Pearl Tower One now open, Ruparelia’s vision of a modern Kampala takes another bold step forward — positioning the city as a true business powerhouse in East Africa.
