Tens of thousands of jubilant residents braved the rain to fill Simu Primary School Grounds on Sunday, where President Museveni’s Office of the National Chairman (ONC), led by Chief Muzzukulu Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, rolled out a massive wealth creation empowerment outreach that left locals beaming with hope.

The Bulambuli district event marked another milestone in the nationwide empowerment campaign to equip youth and women with tools for self-reliance.

Hajjat Namyalo, who was the Chief Guest, delivered what she called “good news straight from Jajja wa’Bazzukulu,” confirming that President Museveni had officially accepted the Tova Ku Main call and vowed to continue his wealth creation agenda into the next term following his full nomination as NRM flag bearer.

“Jajja wa’Bazzukulu has heard your voices and accepted the Tova Ku Main call,” she declared. “He is ready to continue empowering every household. But remember, these tools you are receiving are not for show. Use them to change your lives and silence the doubters who say we cannot defeat poverty.”

Hon. Sarah Nambozo Wekomba, the aspiring Woman MP for Bulambuli, who welcomed Hajjat Namyalo, pledged unwavering support for President Museveni’s re-election bid.

“We are backing Mzee Pakalast for a massive victory in 2026,” she said. “As Bulambuli, we stand united in gratitude for this empowerment that has finally reached our district.”

Elgon County MP Hon. Mudimi Ignatius Wamukuyu thanked President Museveni for initiating the Parish Development Model and urged locals to fully utilise available funds at the parish level.

“Let us use these funds to create wealth in every household,” he said, also pledging a special support package for boda boda riders. “Form groups so that you can tap into all available government programs.”

He further challenged all beneficiaries to produce visible results.

“Don’t sell these items or misuse them. Use them to transform your families—because that is what Jajja wants,” he emphasized.

RDC Hajjat Faheera Bbosa Mpalanyi, speaking after the handover, described the event as a long-overdue blessing for the people of Bulambuli.

“Today, Bulambuli has witnessed a mega empowerment worth millions,” she said. “I thank Hajjat Namyalo for making sure our people are not left behind.”

She cautioned beneficiaries against squandering the opportunity.

“If you sell these items, you will only be betraying yourselves and your children,” she warned.

The ONC distribution included crop sprayers, tailoring machines, chapati stoves, hair dryers, welding kits, car washers, and startup capital items to over a dozen organized groups, including Bunanudde Yedena Youth Association, Bundu Women’s Group, Bulago Car Washing Group, and Kinganda Youth Farmers.

The outreach culminated in a carnival-like celebration, with thrilling performances by Gravity Omutujju, Lil Pazo Lunabe, and local entertainers, sending a clear message that the spirit of Musevenomics is alive and thriving in Bulambuli.
