PICTORIAL: Museveni’s Chief Muzzukulu Rallies Women, Youth to Embrace Govt’s Wealth Creation Programs, Reaffirms NRM’s Commitment

Kampala — The Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs and Head of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC-NRM), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye commonly known as Chief Muzzukulu, has urged Ugandan women and youth to seize opportunities availed through government wealth creation programs and position themselves as key pillars of national development.

Hajjat Namyalo made the call while addressing members of the Ddoboozilyo Events Management Association during the celebration of its third anniversary, held this afternoon at Tick Hotel in Kawempe Division, Kampala.

The association, which brings together over 1,000 event professionals including MCs, Ssengas, Kkōjas, decorators, and cultural facilitators from across the country, is predominantly composed of women engaged in Uganda’s expanding events industry.

In her keynote address, Hajjat Namyalo commended the association for its creativity, resilience, and commitment to community empowerment, particularly lauding the women for their central role in sustaining households—especially in single-parent settings where they serve as both breadwinners and caretakers.

“You, the women of Uganda, are the foundation of your families. I urge you to embrace government programs on wealth creation, follow them up and ensure they transform your lives,” she said. “You must be the watchdogs of your households and communities to make sure these initiatives work for you, because much as President Museveni is supporting us with these funds in Emyooga and the Parish Development Model (PDM), he cannot follow up across the country.”

Hajjat Namyalo also highlighted the importance of unity and organization among community groups, emphasizing that such cohesion facilitates easier access to and monitoring of government programs aimed at uplifting livelihoods.

“Your unity as an association makes it easier for the government to reach you with programs like PDM and Emyooga. When people are organized, it becomes easier to allocate and monitor funds for real impact,” she noted.

She reiterated her commitment to supporting the members of the association through the provision of startup capital and tools, as part of her wider campaign to boost household incomes and small-scale enterprise.

The office of the National Chairman manager head further underscored the significance of maintaining political stability for sustainable development, calling on Ugandans to continue supporting the leadership of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) government.

“Let us not be misled. The peace and stability we enjoy today are because of President Museveni’s visionary leadership. I call upon you all to support the NRM government, which has made it possible for our children to go to school, for women to do business, and for events like this one to take place in peace,” she added.

In response, Ms. Nanyonjo Juliet, the association’s spokesperson, expressed gratitude to Hajjat Namyalo for her unwavering support, especially towards women-led initiatives.

“We are truly honoured to host Hajjat Namyalo today. Her presence here shows that she walks the talk. She doesn’t just talk about empowering women—she actually shows up and supports us. We thank her for prioritizing women in her wealth creation campaigns,” Nanyonjo said.

Headquartered in Nakulabye, Kampala, the Ddoboozilyo Events Management Association continues to play a significant role in promoting local culture, language, and values through the events industry while empowering members economically and socially.
