The Uganda Police have arrested Patrick Mulwana, widely known by his stage name Alien Skin, in connection with a violent assault at Nsambya Hospital in Kampala.
Uganda Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke confirmed the arrest on Wednesday.
“We have in our custody musician Patrick Mulwana, alias Alien Skin, who was apprehended on allegations of assaulting medical staff at Nsambya Hospital. Further details will be shared in due course,” Rusoke announced in a statement.
The incident reportedly occurred on the night of 19 November 2024, when 28-year-old Tumwesigye Joram, a resident of Makindye Division, was brought to the hospital by six unidentified individuals. Tragically, Tumwesigye was pronounced dead within an hour of arrival.
Following his death, Alien Skin and his entourage allegedly became confrontational, demanding medical documentation from the attending physician, Dr. Matovu Zaidi.
When their demands were not met, they assaulted Dr. Matovu, along with two security guards, Muyanda Anthony and Odongo Alex. The group reportedly fled the scene afterwards.

Police Investigation and Arrest
Kampala Metropolitan Police launched an investigation, quickly identifying Alien Skin as the prime suspect. The musician’s previous history of violence and publicised altercations made him a focus of the enquiry.
Alien Skin’s arrest marks a significant development in the case, as authorities work to ensure accountability for those involved.
A Pattern of Controversy
Alien Skin’s public persona has long been associated with controversy.
Earlier this year, he was accused of assaulting a bouncer, Ntale Tonny, at Vox Bar in Makindye, reportedly leaving the victim with a broken jaw and several missing teeth.
The altercation began after Ntale requested that Alien Skin and his entourage adhere to security protocols. The musician later boasted about the incident on social media.

In addition, Alien Skin has faced allegations of failing to honour performance bookings despite receiving advance payments, further tarnishing his reputation.
Meanwhile, the arrest has sparked widespread debate, with some calling for stricter legal action against Alien Skin to deter future misconduct. Critics argue that his repeated behaviour reflects a pattern of impunity and disregard for the law.
Authorities have assured the public that the investigation into the Nsambya Hospital incident will proceed thoroughly and that justice will be served for all those affected.
