ONC Coordinators, Bazzukulu Lead Kakumiro Clean-Up Ahead of President Museveni’s Anticipated Visit

Preparations are in full swing in Kakumiro District as residents, led by President Museveni’s Bazzukulu, eagerly anticipate the arrival of the Fountain of Honour on Friday, November 15, 2024.

On Thursday, the Bazzukulu—under the guidance of Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, Manager at the Office of the National Chairman (ONC)—embarked on a large-scale clean-up campaign in Igayaza Town, giving the streets a polished look in preparation for the President’s visit.

The Bazzukulu, along with ONC Coordinators, undertook a general cleaning initiative to spruce up the area. Their efforts have transformed the town, instilling a sense of pride among residents.

“The scene in Kakumiro is electric, with residents buzzing with excitement and pride as they prepare to welcome the President,” remarked Hakim Kyeswa, ONC’s Head of Digital Media, who is currently on the ground. “Children and community members have also joined in, adding to the vibrant atmosphere filled with hope and anticipation.”

Tomorrow’s visit by President Museveni promises to be a monumental occasion, during which he will launch a new four-acre agricultural model at Kikwaya playgrounds.

According to Kyeswa, the event will highlight local initiatives that promote wealth creation and model farming practices.

“As the countdown to President Museveni’s arrival continues, Kakumiro stands united, ready to embrace this historic moment,” Kyeswa added, noting the immense pride and dedication evident throughout the town.

During his visit, the President is also expected to tour various wealth creation projects spearheaded by model farmers in the region, further strengthening his commitment to supporting sustainable development and prosperity at the grassroots level.
