The 3rd NRM Canada Chapter Symposium is officially set to take place from September 27-29, 2024, at the Marriott Courtyard in Ottawa East, located at 200 Coventry Road, Ottawa, Canada.

The event, organised under the theme “Promoting Sustainable Tourism, Agro-processing, and Industrialisation,” promises to be a key platform for discussing Uganda’s growth trajectory and the contributions of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) government.

The Rt. Hon. Nakadama Rukia Isanga, Uganda’s 3rd Deputy Prime Minister and Minister without Portfolio, extended the invitation on behalf of His Excellency, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, to all delegates, participants, and the Ugandan diaspora in Canada.

In her letter dated September 20, 2024, Rt. Hon. Nakadama emphasised the importance of the symposium, which is aimed at celebrating the achievements registered by the NRM government in fostering sustainable development in Uganda.

“We cordially invite you to participate in the 3rd NRM Canada Chapter Symposium, scheduled for September 27-29, 2024, at Marriott Courtyard, Ottawa, Canada,” Nakadama’s official letter reads.

Acknowledging previous delays in holding the event, Nakadama offered a sincere apology for any inconveniences caused by the postponements.

She reassured attendees that the event was confirmed and would proceed as planned. “We sincerely apologise for the previous postponements and any inconvenience caused,” she said.

The symposium is expected to draw many participants, including delegates, NRM supporters, members of the Ugandan diaspora, and well-wishers. The organizers are encouraging widespread attendance to celebrate Uganda’s advancements under the NRM’s leadership.

With the confirmed date fast approaching, excitement is building around the event, which will serve as a significant opportunity for networking, reflection, and future planning for Uganda’s sustainable economic development in tourism, agro-processing, and industrialisation.
