Dr. Sarah Khanakwa, also known as Sibya Sipoto, is calling for unity among leaders and residents of Namisindwa District to foster development and combat poverty.
Dr. Khanakwa, a hopeful for the district’s Woman MP seat, emphasized the importance of rejecting sectarianism based on political differences, citing it as a major obstacle to development and a contributor to poverty.
She highlighted that the challenges faced by the government, such as poverty, do not discriminate based on political affiliation.
“The poverty we are fighting knows nothing about political parties. There is no poverty that is NRM, FDC, nor NUP. Poverty is poverty, and it hurts,” Khanakwa remarked.
Speaking to local leaders in Greater Buwabwala zone, she underscored the impact of a united community on gaining government recognition, stating, “No government will ignore the voice of Banamisindwa as long as they are united and cooperate in many different aspects.”
