Bumumali Sub County, Namisindwa District – In a vibrant display of appreciation, the clan leaders of Greater Buwabwala have expressed their profound gratitude to Hon. Dr. Khanakwa Sarah for her outstanding contributions to the medical services in Namisindwa District.
The event, held on Friday, July 13, 2024, in Bumumali Sub County, was marked by a palpable sense of excitement and hope among the attendees.
Dr. Sarah, who graced the occasion as the chief guest, was warmly welcomed by the local leaders and residents. The gathering was part of her ongoing “Eyes on the Ball Mission Parliament 2026” campaign, which aims to secure her a seat as a Woman Member of Parliament.
The community leaders lauded her relentless efforts in lobbying for better medical services, which have significantly improved healthcare in the region.

Earlier this month, Dr. Sarah, in collaboration with several notable organizations such as KEDDI Foundation, BETBRA Namisindwa, Uganda Red Cross Society, Ministry of Health, AIDS Information Centre, and ARCH Resources organized a series of free integrated medical camps across Namisindwa District. The initiative aims to provide a variety of essential healthcare services to the community at no cost.
The ongoing medical camps offer services including eye care, general medicine, TB screening, hepatitis B vaccination, family planning, deworming, malaria screening and treatment, and sickle cell trait screening.
Dr. Sarah explained her motivation for organizing the camps, saying, “Our community faces numerous health challenges, and access to quality healthcare remains a significant barrier for many. These medical camps are designed to bring essential health services directly to the people, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to receive the care they need.”
