Uganda’s First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Hon. Janet Kataha Museveni, has been honoured as Africa’s most decent First Lady.
In the latest rankings by Decent Africa Magazine, she secured an impressive score of 8.3 out of 10 in a survey identifying the continent’s “10 Most Decent First Ladies.”
Decent Africa Magazine lauded Mrs. Museveni for her servant leadership, grace, and commitment to promoting African fashion and culture. Her dedication and exemplary conduct have earned her the top spot for the year 2024.
In recognizing her achievements, Decent Africa Magazine highlighted her consistent efforts in fostering education and sports in Uganda, as well as her influential role in advancing African cultural values.
Mama Janet has been serving as Uganda’s First Lady since 1986, showcasing a remarkable longevity in her role and a profound influence on fashion and cultural preservation across the continent.
The rankings also recognized nine other remarkable First Ladies from across the continent for their exemplary conduct and contributions to their respective nations:
