UNFA Allocates 60 Hectares of Land to Inzu Ya Masaba Cultural Institution

The Uganda National Forestry Authority (UNFA) has formally allocated 60 hectares of land to the Inzu Yamasaba Cultural Institution.

This announcement was made by Umukuka III, His Royal Highness Jude Mike Mudoma, during a visit from the Minister of State for Gender in charge of the elderly, Hon. Dominic Mafabi, at the Inzu Yamasaba headquarters in Maluku.

The allocation marks the first time the cultural institution has had a formal claim over the Mutoto land, following a series of discussions and directives from the President.

The Umukuka and his cabinet plan to use the land for various purposes, including the construction of a grand cultural palace for the Bamasaba people.

In addition to the land allocation announcement, Umukuka III hosted an apex meeting in Maluku, which brought together top leaders from the Bamasaba community.

The meeting included ministers of Inzu Yamasaba, government ministers, members of Parliament, LC V chairpersons, mayors, and other prominent leaders and academicians from Masabaland. The body aims to guide the Bamasaba community on various issues.

During the meeting, Umukuka III addressed concerns about internal conflicts within the community, including practices of undermining and backstabbing.

He emphasized that recently established commissions would address these issues to foster unity and progress within the Bamasaba community.
