Uganda Police with sister security agencies in Mityana have arrested and detained l the LC1 Chairperson of Kibubula B Cell, Busunju Town Council, Mityana District, for aggravated defilement of a 14-year-old girl.

The suspect, Mukasa Muhammed, 54, allegedly began defiling the victim in March 2024 at his saloon in Busunju Town, where the victim’s mother had taken her to study hairdressing.

The suspect enticed the victim into a sexual relationship and even surrendered one of his salons to her as a means of enticement and accommodation.

Regional Police Spokesperson Rachael Kawala confirmed the incident.

Preliminary findings indicate that the suspect continued to sexually abuse the victim.

“The victim has undergone a medical examination, and the scene of the crime has been examined and documented,” said Kawala. She condemned the incident.

“We strongly condemn this heinous act by a person who should have protected the girl child instead of taking advantage of her vulnerability.”
