Lamwo, (UG): The Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC) Coordinators in northern Uganda’s Acholi Sub-Region have intensified ground mobilization in the run-up to President Museveni’s wealth creation campaign scheduled for next week on June 20, 2024, at Padibe Primary School Playground in Lamwo District.
The empowerment event, set to be presided over by The Senior Presidential Advisor and Political Head at ONC, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, will see several Bazzukulu benefit from the campaign through a donation of several capital items and wealth creation from the NRM National Chairman’s office.
As preparations intensify in the northern Uganda District, on Saturday, June 15, ONC Coordinators in the region, led by Ms Atim Betty, the Acholi Region Coordination engaged and invited several groups of likely beneficiaries to have them registered for an organized function slated for Thursday, next week.
Ms Atim told the Bazzukulu to enlighten their fellow residents about the mega empowerment visit from the Office of the NRM National Chairman who also doubles as the President, H. E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
According to Ms Betty, residents showed interest and readiness to benefit from the empowerment program, which comes just barely a week after raising an alarm to the President about the same.
DailyExpress understands that just like she has done in previous places she has visited, the Lamwo Empowerment function will see a number of items being distributed to people including; Sewing Machines, Hand hoes, knapsack sprayers, salon Equipment, Water Pumps, Welding Machines, and Seeds among others.
It should be noted as the empowerment campaign intensifies under the ONC, Hajjat Namyalo, the custodian manager of the office will, after the Lamwo event, shift focus to Wakiso District, particularly Entebbe, where another wealth creation function will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024.
Under her stewardship, ONC’s unwavering dedication to uplifting communities and fostering unity underscores the pivotal role of grassroots empowerment in driving sustainable development.
Ever since the campaign started over a year ago, more than one million youths have benefited from the program, directly & Indirectly and the campaign continues to yield fruits in almost every corner of the country.
