Police Probe Mysterious Deaths of Two Men in Iganga

In a harrowing turn of events, the tranquil village of Namusiisi in Iganga District has been thrust into the spotlight as authorities launch a thorough investigation into the deaths of two men under suspicious circumstances.

The deceased have been identified as Abubaker Zijjakilo, a motorcyclist hailing from Kaliro District, while the identity of the second victim remains unknown.

Reports suggest that the two fell prey to a vicious attack allegedly orchestrated by thieves late Tuesday night, resulting in the theft of Zijjakilo’s motorcycle.

The gruesome discovery was made by residents on Wednesday, as the bodies, bearing visible wounds to the head and abdomen, sent shockwaves through the community.

Diana Nandawula, the spokesperson for Busoga East Police, has confirmed that detectives are on the ground, meticulously combing through the crime scene for vital clues and evidence. Exhibits have been carefully extracted, signalling a determined effort to bring justice to the victims and their families.

In a plea to the public, Nandawula urges communities to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement, emphasizing the crucial role of community-driven intelligence in combating such heinous acts.
