Ghana –Three individuals have been apprehended by law enforcement in Obuasi for harbouring three teenage Junior High School (JHS) girls for an extended period and engaging in inappropriate activities with them.
The students, who were reported missing on April 24, 2024, were discovered to be in the company of the suspects on May 8, 2024, in Bossman, a neighbourhood in Obuasi.
The mother of one of the girls received information that her daughter, along with two other girls, was residing with men in a room in the area.
Upon receiving this tip, the police conducted a raid on the location and took into custody David Opoku, 23 years old, Klinsman Osei, 25 years old, and Eric Boateng, 32 years old, along with the girls whose identities have been withheld.
Law enforcement officers found the victims in a compromising position in the suspects’ room, leading to the arrest of all individuals involved. One of the girls, however, managed to flee the scene.
The suspects according to the police, will be processed for Court next week while the victims will be issued with medical report forms to attend hospital for treatment and report thereafter for necessary action.
