Authorities in Ibanda district have initiated a thorough investigation into the brutal murder of Kabagambe Deus Dedita, a 73-year-old male adult of Munyankole descent.
The victim, a peasant residing in Kaaburo II Cell, Rugaaga Parish, Keihangaara subcounty, was tragically hacked to death by unidentified assailants.
According to SP Samson Kasasira, it is reported that Kabagambe Deus Dedita left his residence around 3:00 PM on March 16, 2024, only to be discovered lifeless along a footpath some distance away from his home.
A murder case has been officially registered, with law enforcement promptly responding to the crime scene for investigation and documentation.
Preliminary examinations of the scene suggest that the victim sustained a severe head wound, likely inflicted by a blunt object.
In light of this appalling incident, the deceased’s body has been transported to Ruhoko Health Center IV for postmortem analysis.
