Businessman Ambassador Quillino Bamwine, the Honorary Consul of Eswatini, orchestrated a momentous rendezvous between Uganda’s Kyabazinga William Gabula Khadumbulaba Wilberforce Nadiope IV and Eswatini’s royal princes, HRH Prince Sicalo Diamini and HEH Prince Bandzile Diamini.

At the Kyabazinga’s private residence in Buziga, Kampala, the eminent gathering commenced as His Majesty graciously welcomed the visiting princes, expressing heartfelt gratitude for their swift acceptance of the impromptu invitation. He introduced the Queen “Inhebantu Jovia Mutesi” to the esteemed guests and extended appreciation to the King of Eswatini for the positive response, acknowledging the exceptional team accompanying the Princes.

This historic meeting, which served as a symbol of bilateral cooperation, marked the commencement of a new chapter in the collaborative relationship between the two kingdoms. Notably, the Kyabazinga advocated for exchange programs between the monarchies and expressed keen interest in further discussions, even proposing a future visit to Eswatini to bolster relations.

Lauding the strides made in promoting Africanism, including the name change from Swaziland to Eswatini, the Kyabazinga highlighted the significance of the occasion by hosting a dinner, culminating in the presentation of gifts from the King and Queen of the Busoga Kingdom.

In attendance were key figures from the Busoga Kingdom, including Kyabazinga William Gabula Khadumbulaba Wilberforce Nadiope the IV, Inhebantu Jovia Mutesi, Owek Yudaya Babirye (Minister of Kyabazinga Affairs), Prince Wilson Nadiope, Andrew Kawanguzi (CEO Kyabazinga Initiatives Limited), among others.

The meeting, facilitated by Ambassador Bamwine, solidified the commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties between Uganda and Eswatini, setting a precedent for future engagements focused on mutual growth and cooperation between the kingdoms.

Earlier in the day, the delegation led by His Excellency Bamwine met Chairman MK Movement and Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

The Eswatini Princes, HRH Prince Sicalo Dlamini and his brother HRH Prince Bandzile Dlamini had fruitful deleliberations with General MK. Gen Kainerugaba’s meeting with the princes follows a previous visit earlier this year, when King Mswati III hosted Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba at his palace in the South African nation.
