Kampala (U): From December 5-7, 2023, at AC Palacio Hotel in Malaga, Spain, the inaugural Uganda Europe Convention will bring together stakeholders, including entrepreneurs & innovators to better lives of Ugandans on both sides of the geographic divide, explore lucrative investment & trade opportunities, and forge ways to resolve challenges facing the Diaspora community in Europe.

In a meeting held in Kampala, Founder of the Uganda Europe Convention, Mr. Juuko Paul Kingsley, noted that the purpose of the event is to connect Ugandans in Europe and those back home.

“This year’s theme is enhancing entrepreneurship and innovation, and it will focus on bringing together all stakeholders for the improvement of the lives of Ugandans on both sides of the continental divide,” he said.

The Uganda Europe Convention is a social network of Ugandans living on the European continent and those living in Uganda. It aims to bring together all stakeholders for improvement of the lives of Ugandans on both sides of the continental divide.

To be specific, this will be an opportunity to network, exchange experiences and explore win-win investment, and trade opportunities, by uniting Ugandans from all the different European countries, recognizing entrepreneurs and innovators, who are making a difference and improving lives of Ugandans on both sides of the geographic divide.

In his words, the Senior Presidential Advisor on Diaspora Affairs, Ambassador Abbey Walusimbi, assured that with government commitment, through the Office of the President/Diaspora Affairs, the maiden Uganda Europe Convention will be a success.

He added that the hybrid event will act as a vehicle for vibrant dialogues with Ugandans in Europe, mobilise quality investments, and build stronger trade ties between Uganda and Europe.

“The Uganda government through Office of the President will fully participate in this effort, to unite Ugandans in Europe with those back home. Such efforts also strengthen relations between Uganda and Europe. I will be there,” Walusimbi stated.
