Bien Baraza, a member of the renowned Kenyan musical group Sauti Sol, narrowly escaped a life-threatening car accident on September 15, 2023. The singer was behind the wheel of his Porsche Cayenne when the accident occurred. Despite the severe damage to his car, Bien emerged from the incident without any injuries. He took to Instagram to share a photograph of his wrecked vehicle, captioning it with a heartfelt expression of gratitude for his survival.

Sauti Sol, consisting of Bien Baraza, Savara Mudigi, Polycarop Otieno, and Willis Chimano, has enjoyed widespread success and recognition for their music. The group’s last performance took place in Kampala in June 2023, where they shared the stage with the American R&B group Boyz II Men at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds. Following this performance, Sauti Sol announced in May 2023 that they would be going on an indefinite hiatus after completing a world tour that included stops in five U.S. cities, ten European gigs, and four shows in Canada from May to September 2023.

Bien Baraza’s fortunate escape from a serious car accident is a moment of relief for fans and the music industry at large. As one of the leading figures in Sauti Sol, Bien has been a key part of the group’s success and contributions to the music scene. This incident serves as a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of appreciating every moment. While Sauti Sol is on hiatus, fans eagerly await the group’s return, hoping for more of their iconic music and performances in the future.
