Mpigi, Uganda – Ugandan territorial police have taken a 53-year-old Italian national, identified as Patrick Forouzesh, into custody on allegations of sexually assaulting a 23-year-old maid. According to Police spokesperson Fred Enanga, this shocking incident is said to have occurred on September 5, 2023, at approximately 5:00 p.m.

Details surrounding the case paint a troubling picture, as Enanga revealed that the suspect initially encountered the victim at her sister’s residence in Mpami village. The victim’s sister, who is engaged in the chicken feed business, was where their paths crossed. Patrick allegedly offered the young woman a job as a housemaid, with a promised monthly salary of 200,000 Ugandan shillings.

The victim commenced her employment on the following day, September 4, 2023. However, a horrifying turn of events unfolded while she was merely performing her duties, cleaning a table. According to the victim’s account, the suspect suddenly seized her, forcibly dragged her onto a sofa, and sexually assaulted her. Shockingly, the suspect claimed that such acts were commonplace during rainy weather, according to Enanga.

In the aftermath of this traumatic incident, the victim confided in her sister, who promptly took action. The matter was officially reported to the Mpigi Police Station on September 6, 2023. As part of the investigation, the victim underwent a medical examination, and DNA samples were collected as evidence. Simultaneously, the suspect, Forouzesh Patrick, was apprehended and subjected to examination under PF 24a.

Law enforcement officials have pledged to conduct a thorough investigation into cases involving individuals who exploit and sexually assault female workers. They are working in close collaboration with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) to ensure that the suspect faces the full legal consequences of his actions.
