Hajjat Hadijjah Namyalo, who heads the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), held a massive introduction ceremony with her fiancé Musa Ssentamu, on Friday July 28, 2023, which attracted hundreds of guests, most of them high ranking politicians and wealthy Kampala tycoons.

The ceremony, which was held at Hajjat Namyalo’s parents’ home in Ndejje-Zzana, off Entebbe Road, was characterized with exuberant pomp and glamour, which were heightened by lots of merrymaking.

Some of the dignified guests who attended Namyalo’s Kwanjula during which she unveiled Ssentamu as the love of her life include; EALA legislator Hon. Fred Mukasa Mbidde, who is also the National Democratic Party Vice President, Uganda’s Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Sulaiman Gugwa, former Supreme Mufti-Sheikh Silman Kasule Ndirangwa, the NRM Youth League National Chairperson Gaddafi Nassur, plus the ONC Heads of Department, among others.

Namyalo however filled the guests with awe when she asked for USD10,000 (about Shs36M) as Mahr (Islamic substitute for dowry) from Ssentamu, who responded in the affirmative, despite having taken gifts worth millions of shillings to her parents.

Mbidde, who is Namyalo’s very close friend, congratulated the couple upon reaching this milestone and wished them all the best on this new journey in their relationship.

”Namyalo is our good family friend. She is someone who will embrace you without looking at who you are and that explains why we are here in this huge number,” said Mbidde, who also prayed to the almighty Allah to bless the couple’s union.

Nasur Gaddafi, the NRM Youth Chairperson, also hailed Hajjat Namyalo for not only choosing a great husband-to-be from among all the men in Uganda, but also commended her for the great job she is doing at ONC, as the bridge between President Yoweri Kaguta Kuseveni and the common Ugandan.

“You will all agree that in the few days Namyalo has been in office, she is already a household name not because she blows her own trumpet, but because she is a hardworking lady who has no mercy for those doing evil things that tarnish our good government,” Gaddafi said.

He added that; “In fact, my prayer is that President Museveni retains Namyalo at ONC or even promotes her, because the impact she has created is visible; Hajjat thanks for uniting us as NRM supporters.”

In her remarks, Namyalo, who is now a bride-to-be, thanked Ssentamu for not only loving but also supporting her during the time they have been together, and humbly asked him to always be there for her.

Namyalo said that; “The reality is, people may wonder why I deeply love my husband. He is that man who will stand with you even when you feel like giving up he will still tell you it’s possible.”

She added that; “I remember some time back evil people maligned me to end my good relationship with President Museveni. My handsome husband gave me all the support I needed and today I live a happy life because of his endless love he showers me every day. Therefore, my husband, I want to assure you I will never disappoint you, you are my one and only.”

We have since established that the Kwanjula is set to be followed by a massive wedding ceremony (Nikkah), which will be held in a few months’ time.
