President Museveni has decided to redirect his poverty alleviation measures to Nakasongola and Nakaseke districts. Hajat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, Museveni’s personal assistant launched the campaign in Luwero district last week.

She also doubles as the head of the Office of National Chairperson (ONC) of the National Resistance Movement party.

Namyalo presided over the eradication campaign in Nakasongola and Nakaseke districts on behalf of the president. On Monday, she delivered hybrid goats, chicks and chicken feeds to the beneficiaries.

During the launch as well as delivery of the items to the districts, Namyalo said she is doing this on behalf of the president.

“He told me to deliver them not on behalf of the NRM party, but on his behalf as the president who loves his people,” Namyalo revealed.

She also said that in a meeting with him, the president said he wants all positive development to start from the Luwero Triangle region.

Furthermore, she noted that the president intends to send items across the country and not just the Luwero Triangle.

Apparently, the beneficiaries opting for chicken will get 200 chicks and 15 bags of chicken feed. Those who will opt for the goats will receive two hybrid goats, a male and a female.

Namyalo advised the beneficiaries to ensure good care for the animals they receive so that they mature and produce more.

One of the NRM Executive Committee members, Gaddafi Nassur said ONC has for long been existing, but not vibrant.
