The Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs and head Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Namyalo Hadijah Uzeiye has today hosted the Government Chief Whip and MP Ajuri County (Alebtong District), Hon. Denis Obua to discuss a wide range of matters of national importance.
In the meeting which was held at ONC offices in Kyambogo, the duo agreed to work together to mobilise the Bazzukulu and also the NRM parliamentary caucus to fast-track the implementation of the NRM Party Manifesto.
We’ve further learnt that the Chief Whip also used this opportunity to applaud the activities of Omalako Jajja Tova Ku Main by endorsing H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as the sole candidate for the 2026 General Elections.
The @GovUganda Chief Whip Hon. @HamsonObua has paid me a courtesy call at @onc_nrm. Hajjat Uzeiye thanked Hon Obuo for his outstanding performance as the Government Chief Whip and for working closely with her office to see that work is done well.
At the same event, the soft-spoken ONC spokesperson, who is also the Lwengo District Chairperson Ibrahim Kitatta Almalik commended that ONC believes in collective responsibility and that’s how work should be done.
He added that the fruitful meeting between Ms Hadijah and Hon. Obua was meant to find solutions to existing problems [if any] and to strengthen the already existing relations to ensure swift implementation of the ruling NRM manifesto.
This wasn’t the first time Uzeiye and Obua meeting, last month, the two principals met in Gulu and discussed areas of strengthened cooperation.
The ONC recently flagged off a team of regional coordinators to monitor the implementation of government programs like the Parish Development Model and Emyooga.
Over 150 people were appointed as regional coordinators for the ONC and these shall be working alongside RDCs to monitor government performance and service delivery at the local government level.
