Museveni Directs RDC’s To Provide Necessary Support, Backup To NRM National Chairman’s Office & Bazukulu Teams Undertaking Mobilization Activities

The minister for presidency, Hon. Babirye Milly Babalanda has today written to all Resident District Commissiones (RDCs) and Resident City Commissioners (RCCs) notifying them about the directive of the president in relation to the Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC) Kyambogo and it’s duties.

Babalanda wrote that the ONC is the political office of the Head of state and is responsible for managing political mobilization and classified assignments of the national chairman.

“The above is the political office of the NRM National Chairman and Head of State. The office is responsible for managing political mobilization and classified assignments of the National Chairman. As you are aware that we are serving under the NRM government and our appointing authority also doubles as the national chairman of the NRM,” she said.

She added that the RDCs in their respective districts need to support activities of the ONC such as mobilization of masses to participate in developmental programs aimed at boosting people’s incomes, reminding people of the four core principles of the NRM and assessing the implementation of the NRM manifesto.

“We therefore need to support the activities of this office that are implemented in your districts. These include mobilization of the masses to participate in developmental programs aimed at boosting their incomes, reminding the people of the four core principles of the NRM and assessing implementation of the NRM Manifesto,” Babalanda added.

She thus called upon all RDC’s to back and provide necessary support to the NRM National Chairman’s Office and the Bazukulu teams undertaking mobilization activities.

“You are therefore required to provide the necessary support and back up to the NRM National Chairman’s Office and the Bazukulu teams undertaking mobilization activities in the field. You are requested to introduce the office teams to members of the security committees of your respective districts for the purpose of coordination and to avoid impersonation by subversive elements,” she added.

Babalanda also asked RDCs and RCCs to contact Hajat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, the Head of the NRM Chairman’s Office and Senior Presidential Advisor-Political Affairs/Personal Assistant to the NRM National Chairman and National Coordinator of the Bazzukulu. Mr. Kitata Ibrahim Almalik the Office’s Public Relations Officer on matters relating to the operations of the office.

On the same note, Babalanda reminded the RDCs that the presidential initiative to completely end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030 and the endemic laziness among Ugandans require strict immediate implementation as directed by the president.

She instructed tth RDCs and RCCs to amplify the HIV/AIDS message on TVs and radio shows in line with presidential initiatives to end HIV/AIDS as public threat by the year 2030.

Furthermore, he asked the RDCs to act on the president’s concern about lazy Ugandans who are not participating in producing wealth but instead opt to idle away in trading centers.
