The Senior Presidential Advisor and Personal Assistant to the President in charge of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Ms Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has said her office will not be distracted by critics as it executes its mandate under the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
Addressing a press briefing at the ONC offices in Kyambogo, Ms Namyalo said she and her team remain focused on mobilising support for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni despite what she described as sustained attacks from detractors.
“We are ready for the haters. Their hatred will not divert us from executing the mandate bestowed upon us by the NRM National Chairman,” she said.

Ms Namyalo added that criticism and resistance are inherent in political work, especially in matters involving governance and public affairs. However, she maintained that no amount of threats or negative commentary would derail the office’s programmes.
“No one signs a life sentence with God,” she remarked, in reference to political rivalry and shifting fortunes.
She accused unnamed individuals of being self-seekers with no commitment to the ruling party, its leadership or the country’s broader interests.
Ms Namyalo said since assuming leadership of the ONC, the team has undertaken a nationally televised relaunch of the office at Kyambogo, during which they unveiled their flagship mobilisation theme, “Jajja Tova Ku Main”.
Under the campaign, she said, the office has conducted media engagements and endorsement activities across the country aimed at rallying the “Bazzukulu” to support President Museveni.
She emphasised that her work is conducted under the “strict and direct supervision and guidance” of the president and not any other authority.
“Our obligation is to continue seeking the endorsement of Jajja Museveni. That mandate remains intact,” she said.

Ms Namyalo noted that the mobilisation activities are aligned with the NRM manifesto, themed “Securing the Future,” which prioritises wealth and job creation, education and health service delivery, justice and equity, protection of life and property, and regional economic and political integration.
Restructuring the Office
In her concluding remarks, Ms Namyalo announced measures aimed at restructuring and strengthening the ONC’s operations.
She directed former ONC coordinators to submit detailed activity reports and ordered a nationwide process to identify new official grassroots coordinators at cell, sub-county, district and sub-regional levels.
The exercise, she said, would run from December 8 to December 23, with submissions closing at 5pm on the final day.
She further instructed the ONC Public Relations Officer, Hon. Kitatta Ibrahim, to provide clarification and detailed guidelines regarding the recruitment process.
The press briefing was attended by Presidential Advisor Tamale Mirundi and other officials.
Ms Namyalo reiterated her commitment to engaging stakeholders and the general public in the office’s programmes, saying the ONC would continue its activities without interruption.
